If at anytime an individual is subject to significant illness, injury or change in personal circumstances that could impact their fitness to work, they should discuss this with their primary sponsor who may refer the individual to an occupational health assessment before normal work is continued.
A new Drug & Alcohol screening is required to initially join the rail industry and begin working for a primary sponsor (an approved rail company). From this point onwards you will only need to complete a new screening if you wish to change primary sponsor and your last screening was over 12 weeks ago.
Rail industry staff can be subject to additional screenings such as Random/for-cause and post-incident though these are arranged by your employer.
